First Law Of Thermodynamics (FLOT)
According to the fist law of Thermodynamics "If some heat is supplied to the system which is capable of doing work then the quantity of heat absorbed by the system(ΔQ) is equal to sum of the increase in its internal energy(ΔU) and and the external work done(ΔW) by the system on the surrounding."
ΔQ=ΔU+ΔW
ΔW can be written as the ΔW=F . dx
=P. A. dx
=P . ΔV
So the equation of FLOT can be written as
ΔQ= ΔU+ P. ΔV
